Heck he maybe like me, and not want any thing to do with the 07 emissions NONSENSE. If that were me I would buy an old W9 classic truck and a early 2000s model truck. When I got tired of running the one I would park it in the barn and drive the other one until I got tired of it, then switch again for a while.

Darn wouldn't it be really nice to be able to truck because YOU WANTED to, than because YOU HAVE to?????

It would be great. Imagine being able to tell brokers to take a hike with any low paying freight they tried to get you to take

or being able to take a week off, anywhere you wanted to, with no truck payment or any other bills to worry about.

i enjoy trucking to much to quit it all together, i would buy a nice truck maybe that new freightliner and drive it a couple months a year for a all owner operator company and enjoy life the rest of the time... and definitely going to buy a house just outside of Salem Oregon somewhere off hwy 23 i think it is

If that were me, after getting the new rig (with everything in it, including the kitchen sink) I'd invest the rest into a Money Market account. That way, i got a Work truck that classifies as a show truck, and a hot retirement to boot.

Well me and the wife didn't win the lottery but we are working over here in Iraq and we got every thing payed off and putting money away like crazy so when this is over it will be just that way. we are going to buy a good truck not new but one we can pay cash for and a trailer and get our own authority and just go where we want when we want and if the freight ain't what we want for the price we are willing to pull it we'll unload the hog and ride around for a few days till one comes up we like. the front of the drop deck will be reserved HOG PARKING with a custom built box for it.

176 million to one. That is pure luck, yet most could be wealthy if they would get on a money trail and stay there.

It boggles the mind why employers would not want to see their people wealthy. They think just because there people get wealthy, they will quit driving (working) and that just is not the case.

I have been asked to leave the premises of places where I talk about wealth and for no more than this kind of ignorance.

There have been other truckers I have known that have become wealthy from work rather than gambling and yet, they still keep pushing those diesels down the highway.

Makes one wonder about the mentality of some people in this world.

Sounds like a real deal. Love to see it. How long in Iraq? What are you doing over there?

I was thinking about going over, but have not decided yet as other things are on the plate. Love to hear from you two about the work over there.

This old Vietnam Veteran understands the risks, but life is for living and I know there are many good things from such an adventure.
