Good call True. I will be starting with Prime on June 28th. How did you do on the road test?
-
Be sure and tell them only the good parts!
Nightwolf1975 and halfburn Thank this. -
I passed the road test my first time. Its not hard just watch your mirrors and your turns.

Good to hear. Good luck with your training and maybe we'll bump into each other once I get there.

I am looking into Prime also... Really want to go with them, but they do not allow pets unless you lease your own truck

I would not recommend a lease for a new driver. Get some company experience first, at least a couple years.
You will get a LOT of bad comments about Prime, especially from one certain person who has a permanent beef with the company and can't resist bad mouthing it at every opportunity. He had a bad experience, and as you will find, whenever someone has a bad experience with a company, it is ALWAYS the company's fault. Hang in there. I am going back to Prime for my third lease and will be updating my profile pic within a few days with a picture of the new truck.
Best wishes!Civilservant, Freckles, dudetrucker and 2 others Thank this. -
Ok, well Prime changed their pet policy so I go on the 17th of May. After I learn enough to be able to do it properly, I would like to do a lease. That would not be until I learned how to run a business. My neighbor owns his own truck, so when the time draws near I will talk to him about it more. Until then... Just learning everything I can.

I may be young but still old enough to (hopfully) make good choices. I know at least some of what I am getting myself into. I know I will be away from home probably for weeks at a time, learning a ton of stuff in a short period of time, working hard to ensure the load is delivered efficiently (not just fast, but safetly, quick, while using the least amount of fuel), did I mention learning? I love to learn, I want to learn, just need someone to learn me how to do what I need to do to be sucessful
Roadmyth Thanks this.
