Ok, so I have been unemployed for about 8 months, lost all of savings, no house, no wife(that one isn't bad) and I am entertaining getting class A, so I never have to go through this again. Well, my regular lic. is suspended do to an failure to appear on a fix it ticket(lapsed registration). Now I have a suspension. I was ######## my pants and called DMV, they stated that should not prevent me from getting a class A as long as I clear it up? Now I heard that straight from the horses mouth. Can you guys help me chill? I hope the guy was right but, what are your thoughts?
    Thanks,

Getting your license and getting a job are 2 different things. You can get a CDL A pretty easily with the right amount of studying & skill, etc. But getting a job with that on your record will be a lot harder. There are a fair amount of commercial drivers out there unemployed, some with clean records and some with spotted records. Once you are licensed, apply everywhere and hope for the best.

Should have no problem getting your CDL. Just about every companies application it asks if your license has ever been revoked or suspended. I am not sure how long it show on your driving record.
