Have you called tyson? I stay out 24 to 30 days at a time, by choice. I like taking off a week at a time. They start out at. 39 com with exp. No per deim. We have apu's on all our trucks. I make more money here than anywhere else I have ever worked. That's every week. Not some weeks. If you call, im in tr#56101. Have a good day.

After reading through the posts I see not much has changed at Star, I worked there 20 years ago and only stayed 10 months.
Dispatch was rotated back then and you got a new one every 3 months and I had already heard about a dispatcher named Chuck.

He thought drivers should live in the truck and would not get you home reguardless of how close you were, That happened to me.

After being out 3 weeks I picked up a load in Clarksburg W.V. and it went to Memphis, With no time to stop at home as I was going right by it, After unloading in Memphis at 9a.m. on a Friday he told me to call him in an hour and see if he could get me something out of there coming to Nashville.

At 5p.m. he finally gets me a load that picks up in Jackson Tn that delivers 7a.m. N.Y.C. Monday morning! You will stay under it and deliver it.
I said no thanks and he said you don't have a choice... 3.5 hours later I bobtailed in to the yard in Nashville and cleaned out the truck.

    I ALWAYS HAVE A CHOICE.

I never have a problem staying out for as long as I like. This is the first I have been home in 3 weeks and the time before 6 weeks both at my decision. All you have to do is tell your dispatcher you want to stay out on the weekend. In all honesty if you believed half the crap people posted on these forums about any company, you would believe your better off standing on a corner with a tin can. Like one guy posted on another forum, I'm a runner, not a whiner.
