    Get your priority's straight:

#1 your safety: If you can't get to a different SAFE hotel, & you feel better in the truck with the APU running, then get your butt in the truck and don't worry about getting in trouble because it's running.
Personally if it was me, I'd fire up the truck & get my butt outa there to a SAFE area ASAP.:biggrin_2551:

Being a trucker isn't as glorious as you thought, now is it?

Look out for your safety. If you feel safe, make a call and find a way out of there or quit altogether. That, or stick it out... bolt the door and call it a night.

Hookers can't get in if you keep the door shut and locked!

You got bigger problems than you think. Werner has no jobs for all the drivers they hire every week (700-1000). They get government money for training you and if you manage to get through training and assigned a rig will try to find a reason to fire you. Read the thread Werner the long story ;it details how they get paid to train you , even your tuition reimbursement(if you got the Cdl A before you came to Werner) is from Uncle Sam. They pay you peanuts to run you hard while training;but if you test out and get assigned a truck;watch your back especially at the main terminal in Omaha Ne.They don't want to keep you at the higher rate you deserve after training because they have hundreds more drivers coming through the mill behind you.

Yeah, Lane ave. is what I was thinking too, I used to deliver rubber mulch down there and passed that hotel, that's a sketchy place. If he's unfortunate enough to be there, I can understand the concern.

Well, whose idea was it to go there? The trainer? Or Werner??

Again, I can't speak to Werner's methods. I can tell you that Swift will not knowingly place a student in a place like that. If a trainer did place a student there and the student notified Swift the student would be moved to a safe place.

I've never heard of anything like this while I was at Prime.
