Hey all truck drivers, If this post twice I am sorry I couldn't find oringinal post so I am having to do this again. Hubby works for JB, and he is finding out all these lies that JB told him after he gets hired. Like he was supposed to get home every weekend et. (Not happening) he has been out 2 weeks also sitting more then driving and he don't get comped for that. Swift drivers are talking to him on road and telling him to work for them ,I think he is being lied to again. They tell him he should be home every weekend if he gets a wal-mart account, all the B.S. I need to talk to some current or past Swift drivers who will tell me the truth so he can be better informed. Thanks to all who respond.
What about Swift?

Both are bad. Why not try Roehl, or Maverick, or Watkins Shepard etc.
When in a bad situation try to move UP not side ways to remain in a bad situation or down to a worse situation. -
The SWIFT drivers are probably telling the truth, in regards to "if he got a walmart dedicated run". Problem is, until he is hired, he doesn't know if he would get it or not.
I talk to alot of these drivers, and for all the bad stuff that gets said about this company, the SWIFT drivers on the walmart accounts seem to have it pretty good.
How long has he been with JB Hunt? -
I thought werner did walmart?
-
They might have some walmart runs as well, I don't know. I do know that SWIFT has a bunch of them. I deliver to walmart quite often on my outbound loads though, and have talked to quite a few swift drivers on these dedicated accounts.

Wal Mart contracts with lots of different companies.
Crete, Us Express, CR England, Swift, Landstar, who ever they can get to peddle their cheap freight. -
Yea I see lots of werner trucks pulling walmart trailers here in wisconsin.
-
Wal Mart ded. runs only go to the experienced or senniority drivers. Wal Mart is a time sensitive load and has to be on time every time. Good Luck and bad choice to go with Swift, very bad choice. Who ever you decide for ASK LOTS OF QUESTIONS and BE CLEAR.

How much experience does he have?

Up Here in Michigan I See The Pumkin Trucks Pulling for WAL-MART, in fact thats all I see, I Believe Werner/USExpress both pull for Wal-mart also in other states....
