Federal law imposes some pretty strict requirements on the states regarding child support. They do this by withholding certain govt funds if the states don't comply.
By most interpretations, regarding child support, the state is required to have the employer withhold the child support and submit the payment to a pre authorized receiver. Sometimes this is the party directly receiving the support, but often it's an agency of the county.
I cannot speak for all states, however, when I operated my company, I was required to withhold the support from employees checks and pay it to the collecting state. I operated in CA, OR, WA, NV, AZ, ID, UT and NM. In all those states, I submitted the payments to the collection department of the DA's office.
This was for people current with child support. Not delinquent parents.
I, of course, received attachments from state taxing authorities, IRS, court judgements and other agencies for which I had to withhold money, but that was a different matter.
So I suspect you will not have a problem having money withheld by your trucking company, no matter where you end up.
    They will find you!

Employers are only required to withhold support payments IF there is a court order requiring them too.. it is the responsibility of the non-custodial parent to make the payments. If the court order is issued what type of company or size doesn't matter. Most companies aren't going to make the payments out of kindness.

Nothing if you don't get paid and they haven't received the court order.. if they did and you are being paid than they are required to pay what is stated in the court order or 40% of your working (net) income whichever is less. If they pay the 40% you are still required to pay the balance yourself..

Eastcoast I suggest you pay some weeks in advance so when you are getting the pay to be out with a trainer you wont have to worry about having the money to eat.

i understand i'll be sending payment in when im not getting paid for training by saving money for just that reason i was wondering once im an employee if they'd send payment or if i would have to. i live in nh and pay support to mass. my employer has to pay directly to child support services, even if i wanted to pay myself my employer wouldnt allow me to because they say they have o it's a law. i hope once i get going with tucking they will do te same jst makes things alot easier.either way i'll get the money out, been paying support for 12 years and never missed a payment and never will.

Eastcoast in NJ I am supposed to call CS when I change jobs so they can send the paper work. Until they get it and start paying then I am responsible to pay it. Even if they are paying I am and you are allowed to pay more it will go toward future payments. I am paying her extra each week for when I go out with trainer it will be paid. It is like paying her ahead for the CS.

I just read about prime you get $200 a week in advance then after you get your CDL you make $600 or more a week. You are going to need most of that $200 to live on. Best of luck.
