Android Market Apps/Games

Great thread and some interesting apps listed here.

A couple weeks ago on my time off I upgraded to the Sprint HTC EVO 4g.

The first few apps I downloaded although it came preloaded with a ton of the popular ones already listed:

- Mole!Mole!! (This is a very fun an addicting game, its just like the arcade game where you whack a mole with the hammer).

-Homer Simpson Soundboard- It is a cool simpsons song to the theme of the flintstones. Just kindof funny.

-Slot Machine
-Tic Tac Toe Free
-Word Search

-Navigation (came preloaded, so far google maps navigation is much better than even my standalone gps).

- I also use Latitude and Facebook alot.

Anyone else familiar with the apps I listed that hadn't already been. I reccomend that Mole game though.



Also has anyone used the ""Truck Stops"" app made by ""Leigh Gagnon""? It is $3.99 and I have been contemplating buying that one if its as good or better than my paperback. What I like it has all truckstops, weigh stations, wal-marts and also a way to send update to add places not already listed. Does anyone reccomend this app?

 

I thought about trying that but I started using the "find places" function in google maps. A lot of truckstops have already been rated and reviewed so, it's cool if you have several close by to choose from.

I've also started reviewing and posting the skinny on shippers/receivers that I go to.

You don't need advanced task killer its a battery drainer your phone comes with a task manager and u can always go into settings applications and running services to stop apps from running and clear their data

 

Yes 1 click root with clockwordmod and recovery is still around and rom manager will soft brick your phone if you try to flash roms from there just boot into recovery once rooted and make sure you rom.zip file is on the root of your sd card and root away there is also an android marketplace out there with nothing but all paid apps for free

 

I'm always updating weigh stations for this App. In fact, if more people used it, you could just about always know when one was open.

 

I have tried to update a couple truck stops I was at a pilot a couple weeks back horrible bathroom was filthy trash cans over filled and it smelled like piss but I love this app real handy when you're on those us highways in the middle of nowhere lol

 

Verizon just blocked tethering apps from market. Only way to get them now is third party markets or direct from developers.

Tower Bloxx- a build 'em tall game
Stupid Zombies- similar to angry birds but you're shooting zombies

Favorite Apps:
Backgrounds- backgrounds for your phone similar to the computer
FMyLife- Some days, it's nice to know that things could be worse
Yahoo Messenger
Random Lolcat
SoundHound- Identifies songs on the radio, can also pull lyrics once the song is identified
Urbanspoon- Great to find eats when you're stuck at a repair shop
