I have 2 years OTR expience With CR England and CRST. My home town though is Enid, OK where groendyke has it's home terminal, the problem is other then knowing where the place is I really know very little about them. Even talking with friends that have worked there I know that I've been told it was a pretty good company to work for but really what is a pretty good company? I need specifics. Like how often would I be home? what is the pay like? What are the trucks like? and what are the terminals like? While I personally enjoy OTR it would be awsome to go to a company from my home town and was hoping that someone could give me some insight into groendyke working out of the Enid, OK terminal thanks.

There is a lot of turn-over in drivers at Groendyke. Dispatchers play games with loads and base the jobs on driver favorites and who knows what else. Channelview seems to have a lot of turnover lately in employees that have been there for years. And not just drivers are leaving. They want to know why people keep leaving? Don't mess with someones livelihood. We may be in a recession but there are driving jobs out there, lots of them.

What company their size doesn't have a high turnover? The only companies with very low turnover are smaller carriers and some of them have high turnover also. Years ago when I started I worked for a local guy that had three trucks and after six months I was the oldest driver and then I quit.

Well in July, I will have been with Groendyke for 2 years. Not a bad company. I am treated well and always with respect. I grossed 47k in 2010. Not bad for me and I don't work that hard. This is the second best company I have driven for in 15 years. the first was Watkins but they were sold to Fed Ex.
