    Forgive the lack of replies been busy with things relating to my late grandmothers estate. I tell you that woman had more movies on VHS & DVD than I could keep track with.

    Ok as for JimDucan, Thank you for the backup. Had I book marked the sites that pointed out that the sleep deprived drivers causing crashes cause they have sleep apnea to be false, i'd post it here. Sadly I failed to save them, I'll have to go digging on Google again.

    I wouldn't have to worry about that. I used to be a bouncer at a nightclub. Also over the years of having to defend my self against bullies in school, you tend to learn how to use your weight to your advantage. One of the greatest things you can ever learn when it comes to fights, it's 80% mental 20% physical. Your options are limited to one of two things. Either you can make your opponent fear you to end the fight before it starts. Or you could keep your cool and make your opponent blind with rage to make him your puppet. Then you can control his every move. This is what I've learned over the years with the fights I've been in.

    Once again I felt it was a safety Issue. If your doing something behind the wheel that might risk my life or those around you, your #### right I'm willing to report you. how ever if you wana be the co-driver of someone that's texting on his cellphone or who is cooking with his slow cooker while driving be my guest. But don't go crying when one of them causes a crash to end your carer in driving. That's one of the problems my father warned me about this line of work. Mind you he used to be a driver back in the late 80's early 90's. No matter how stupid a driver is acting behind the wheel you will always have someone who's willing to protect or stand up for them. The reason why the Fed's are rolling out that CSA2010 crap. We don't police our self so the Fed's are going to do it for us. Then we ###### n moan about the Fed's invading our personal lives.

    I don't trust cops one #### bit. As stated before with a lot of states being heavily cash strapped they are looking at any means possible to drain more money out of the citizens. Take those Speeding & Red Light Cameras. They claim it's for safety but they are pulling in millions of dollars from those cameras. Even going as far as shortening the time in which the light remains yellow to bring in even more tickets.
    Case in point:
    http://blog.motorists.org/6-cities-that-were-caught-shortening-yellow-light-times-for-profit/
    http://news.cnet.com/8301-17852_3-10458570-71.html
    So if there is a way to make a few easy bucks for the state the cops will find it. Just because they haven't done it yet is no evidence that they might start doing it. And no i don't have a tinfoil hat on. :biggrin_25522:
    as for why i don't trust the cops, head over to the following sites;
    http://www.reddit.com/r/Bad_Cop_No_Donut/
    http://www.copblock.org/

    The time line is as follows;
    Sept 07. got call to come home over family medical issue.
    Sept 09. got home, while there set up sleep study.
    Sept 23. First Sleep study done. was told that I may need a second one done.
    Oct 19. went in for second test.
    Nov. 11. Got results of test over the phone from Nurse, Call CRST only to find out I had been let go.

    It's CRST Company Policy That if you have to do a Sleep Study, once it's started you can not drive until you have the results. If you do have Sleep Apnea you have to acquire a cpap machine or other FDA approved device and show that your in compliance. With the Cpap machine you have to show that your using it 4 hours a night, 70% of the time, and have an AHI of 5.0 or less.
    From the paperwork I have in front of me from CRST;
    As for returning to CRST, I haven't gone back yet but I plan to. My main gripe about this is that I was doing things by the book only for someone to screw me cause, things wasn't being done fast enough. My dispatcher knew I was taking that sleep study test. Not one time between the start of this to the end of it was I asked to provide any proof. Had someone said "hay could you send me this from your doc." I would have with no problems. But when they let me go with out even telling me about it. Then going back and retro cancel what i had for health insurance leaving me on the hook for $5000 worth of medical tests. Then putting me in a spot where the only way I could go back to work is to acquire a piece of medical equipment that I can't afford cause I was not only fired but had my insurance canceled. Pisses me off to a new level.

    As for the trainers I've dealt with, that is a side issue pointing out that the will allow any idiot and his brother to be a trainer. In fact the Safety department wants you to alert them to problem trainers. Cause they know they have problem trainers but have no way of ferreting the out. And with that whole CSA2010 point system. They don't want the feds in there with a microscope might turn up a few things they would hate to be let out in the open. Also as I noted before, to qualify as a trainer you just need 6 months and a winter behind you. So by their standers after I have a winter of driving I could become a trainer. How ever I know far better than that. I wouldn't consider being a trainer until I've had a good 5 years under my belt. How ever back to going back to CRST, like I said before it's like I don't have a choice. On top of that If I fail to return there they can try to collect on the money they spent for training me. That's the last thing I need is to have them try to rip $4000 from any future paychecks. It's either I go back and cancel out the amount I owe or I go and file for bankruptcy. After all I did sign a contract saying I'd work for them for a period of no less than 8 months. I have how ever completed at lest one of those months.

    "Or having a trainer tell you to cheat on your logbooks by logging your fuel stops as only 15 minutes. Or if your at the shipper you log it as 15 minutes then log the rest of the time in the sleeper birth even though your not in the sleeper birth but behind the wheel waiting for the shipper to give you the green light to pull in for your load."

    As said before... if you log more than 15 minutes when fueling, you're not only lost, but foolish. Same with a shipper, unless there's a DOT officer standing on the dock while you lump your own load, and waiting to see how you log it - never saw one yet, so probably not.

    Get real.

    I started 7/1/2010 and drove for them for six months (shy by 10 days). In December they wanted me to have the sleep apnea test, I had one on december 20, 2010 another on January 3, 2011 I found out the canceled my insurance on January 1, 2011. I had another sleep study on March 7, 2011 I communicated with my dispatcher throughout, my codriver was going thru the same thing, but he could not afford the insurance so he went to work for another firm. all the while I still owed them 200.00 for the refresher training/physical/lodging and I had an advance of 500.00 in January. Now they want to turn me over to a collection agency, don't want me to have unemployment, and expect me to pay my own insurance, my own doctor visits, etc... what my question is why would you let a driver drive for six months before you force them to not drive because if I am not capable of driving in December what changed from July 1st thru the 19th of December? The fact that I was complying with their policy?

    Don't get me wrong, obviously the three sleep studies show I have a sleep apnea issue, it is no different from having any other medical issue, its medical and there is no proof that my sleep :biggrin_25518:was any more interrupted by apnea than by the truck bouncing all over the road, or staying up with your co-driver when the weather is really really bad and you need to get to a safe haven.

    They have not officially terminated me (to my knowledge) but I sure think I am not being taken care of when my medical bills are over 10,000.00 for the three sleep studies, not to mention the thousands for the insurance, co-pays, doctor visits, etc etc etc..

    As far as you losing your job because of family issues, I would check to see if you have a case with the FMLA (Family Medical Leave Act). If someone is very sick in your immediate family, you can usually get extended time off for this case. My future father in law is sick and not doing too well, but they won't let you get away with that. I left CRST because everything was taking a toll on my fiance with me being gone and her dad...she was starting to lose it a little, and I don't really want to lose a second love of my life. In my opinion, you made the right call in putting family first (but opinions are like "you know what". Everyones' got one!) As far as the trainer issues, welcome to CRST...lol. My trainer was ALWAYS on his phone, he would be swerving on the road, and when it was his turn to sleep, it would just give his undivided attention to his phone calls. Needless to say, I got about an hour of sleep every shift end. The other nine were with my eyes peeled on the trainer to make sure he didn't fall asleep on me. lol.
    The logs...welcome to a federally regulated job industry. He's telling you that because the less time you have logged on lines 3 and 4, the more available time you will have toward the end of your week. Keep them doors shut and them wheels moving, and you'll make some money.
    Best of luck man. Try that FMLA, and see if you can't get your job back...
