How much per mile should a new hire get after training?? There is a company here called Gainey that wants to sign me up even before graduating. They pay 30 cents per mile. I talked previously with Schneider and they pay 28. What is the highest cpm i can expect from a good company??

    thanks for your help

Some pay 38-40 cpm for newbies. Mcelroy, maverick are in that ball park. There might be more, but these are also flatbeds.

Don't worry about mileage pay. Worry about miles, detention pay, layover pay, driver respect, health insurance, hometime, and the lanes a company runs.

JB can offer me 40cpm. But can they run me? Probably not. I am at TransAm and have to remind them that miles and hometime matter.

Last week I got 3100 miles at 32cpm.
