Well, I am good to go!! I took my DOT physical last Saturday (23 July) and am good to go for two years. Being how I am really anxious, i took my CDL learners permit test on 14 Feb. I got all the info from my recruiter along with some GI Bill paperwork for me to fill out. I am officially slotted for July 23 and for National Van. Two weeks and I get to go home, three weeks and I am off to Wisconsin!!

Greetings from Marshfield! I got throught my first day of classes. The instructors are nice and there are only 5 students in my class. So hopefully that means a lot of time behind the wheel practicing. Today was mostly paperwork and drug tests and some basic knowledge. Tomorrow we get hands on learning pre trip inspections and start learning shifting and backing in the yard. I'm the only female in the class but so far the guys have been nice. Well I need to read 2 more chapters and review the first 4. I'll keep ya posting on my experiences.

Well, there ya go. That's a good sign. Only 5 folks in an orientation class. The classes I've been to have usually had at least 30. My Swift orientation had 45 in it. I went to a BT orientation that had over 70 in it. That should have been a huge red flag, but I was green back then.

whispers65233, Glad to hear everything is going good for you, I'll be there in 28 days and counting LOL... Also let us know if there is anything that you would of brought with you that you wished you had during school to help you or wished you would of studied up more on to prepare better.

Pedy6Pak, Hopefully I'll find something when I get home here on the 20th, I have a week to find a place, If not I guess I'll just have to suck it up and drive back and forth from Toledo to Akron. I don't think it'll be too bad.
