It's not a complete lie, and it depends on availability. Usually the 7 on/7 off drivers are close to retirement. The schedule is a part time schedule, so you will not make that much money. Naturally, you will share a truck with another driver. The few part timers that I've spoken to have stated that the dispatchers are good about getting the drivers home after a week.
You can ask a recruiter as many questions as you want, but if it isn't in writing outside of a truck stop advertisement, then be very cautious. -
They've been advertising this for quite awhile. You just need to know that it won't always work out that way. I keep saying this over and over, trucking companies are in the transportation business, not the travel business. They need to get freight delivered and keep their clients happy, right ? So, drivers needs come second. It's not a perfect world out there.
