All of you are amazing, in my book. Redd, too, for pitching in some sweat and elbow grease.

Donations of time, kindness and prayers, while not palpable gifts, are gifts nevertheless. And valued equally. You're all doing Saints' work.

We just dropped our relief supplies in Slyvania. We drove through Henegar on our way out. I cried. Soooo many houses are just GONE. Nothing but the foundations left. Those poor people are out there with cardboard boxes trying to salvage anything. Hardly a focal point? Hardly. Everyone one of them are a focal point to me.

The Red Cross doesn't want your donations unless it's money. A company in NC offered a truckload of protein bars and shakes. The Red Cross turned them down. They didn't want them. They want cash donations. Toomers took them though. And they got them into the people's hands and that's what matters.

Condocruiser... You obviously don't know jack #### about the area. 5 businesses? Are you serious? And btw, you saying the people who grow the food younput in your belly don't need help? God help you.

FYI, I have lived in Dekalb county all my life. Yes, I know where story trucking is... I graduated from Sylvania just south of Henagar. There was more than 5 businesses there way back then.... But even if there was none I would help them. Why? Because it is the right thing to do. Hardly a focal point, pffft.... Try focusing on thinking before you speak. Their lives mean something to me regardless how worthless you deem your fellow man... I pity you.

You guys ... this seriously just tears me up .... thank you for all of your help that you're doing for everyone down there. My step-brother was killed in the tornado when it went through Sylvania, and my dads and sisters houses were both tore up - we know so many people who have been killed, they are still finding people - the devistation to our little Sand Mountain is horrible :/ It seriously just makes me so happy that so many are so willing to help out the area. The community support is HUGE but everyone is so busy cleaning their own areas up no one has much time to help out their neighbors so it is just a blessing to see how people from all over are willing and wanting to help out.

If anyone who isn't from around here wants to see pictures ... I have an album up of some pictures I took last weekend; I took more over the last couple days but I just got home at 7:45am this morning from Alabama (I am now living in West TN, family is all still down there) and I am kinda tired :/ So I will be adding those up also later.
