    Hey guys,

New poster and Im looking for some ideas.

what kind of discount would someone have to sell diesel fuel at to get an owner operator interested in buying it? The catch is that it would come in 55 gallon drums and have to be pumped out.

I ve got a bunch of fuel perks and I want to sell them off, there is only 1 station in the area that sells diesel that i can redeem these at so for the most part it looks like i have to put it in drums and truck it to someone.

Hope im not violating any forum rules with this post as I dont want to be a 1 post wonder.

    Im in Akron, OHio

so a 50% discount is what it would take?

I was thinking 20% would do it but i guess im pretty far off.

Is there any good known dsales of diesel ever?

so how would i go about finding owner operators in say macedonia ohio?

If i could find some there i wouldnt have to put it in drums as they could just go directly to the station and meet me there.

Your best bet would be to get a CB and sit along the big road advertising your fuel.

Some O/O is going to buy it if the price is right.

You also have to remember that if someone buys it at a store they are going to get
a receipt that will help with their fuel taxes.

Buying from you will not produce a receipt and they will have to pay fuel taxes on it.

So remember that when you are giving a price.

Uh....How do we know this fuel wasn't siphoned out of a tank from a truck stop or rest area?

Well, he did say that anyone who is willing could meet him at the station itself.

    Besides.....

Does he have a license to sell the fuel?

Let's say he's pumping that fuel out of the drums into your tanks when DOT rolls up...

How do you prove this was legal?

    Jarhed1964 and 25(2)+2 Thank this.
