Here is my start up cost, when i started in 8/10

    '06 international 23k ...767 @14% i have good credit, but 1st time buyer
    2yr warranty 2k
    3 payments up front 2,469.69
    authority 300.00
    registered truck in NC 795.00
    down payment on Ins 1,785.00
    UCR 76.00
    IRP 1,383.52 only 36 states
    boc 3 50.00
    2290 550.00

That's all i can think of at this moment. I'm pretty sure i am missing something. I made my 1st payment on truck before, i pulled my 1st load. It took me that long to get my authority approved.

I would count on an extra 1k, for odds and ends. like letters on truck, subscribing to load boards. Putting fuel in truck to get it home. office supplies, fax machine, air card, lap top.

This is my start up, everyone start up is different. Just have to have patients , don't rush because it only set u back a couple of days and those fix cost don't stop. So, that money u have saved goes really fast!

    Bigdaddy00 Thanks this.

I'm doing OK, after i got my authority. I started with this outfit doing there power program. They paid 80% of the line haul, and 100% fsc. I used there fuel card and got .05 of the pump price. The first couple of months things were going great. I was averaging 1.40 on all miles, then things started to decline. They would send me to places like Texas, Louisiana, were the rates sucks. A couple of times i went north east for $1.80 and came out .90. They started to treat me like a glorified company driver. If its after hour, no one can tell you how much a load pays. You would have to wait till the morning or take the load . If you take the load you don't know how much it pays , until someone gets in. I was told before i joined them they average 1.75 all miles. The recruiter sent me reports from other drivers, but he would not give me there phone numbers. Told me company policy, they don't give numbers out.
Anyway, in Jan 2011 i bought a trl for $3500. Im doing a lot better now, im sitting more than i used to. But, my average is up and i can pick and choose on what load i want.

458k it was a fleet trk, they got rid of it just when the warranty expired. Its been a pretty good truck so far. I just had to replace normal wear and tear on truck.
