any word on knight

I worked for knight refrigerated from feb to june of 09 out of columbus oh. Pretty unprofessional outfit. From a money standpoint, I did alright there for 3 months, then started setting for 3-4 days at a time in places like the camden nj drop lot. Trucks do 63 cruise and 65 otf. Unless you don't idle, then its 65 cruise and 67 otf. Reason I say it was unprofessional, my dispatcher called me some pretty nasty name because of my southern accent. From dumb hick to pig ######. Of course he said it jokingly but I just don't see that as work approved conduct.

That means you'd be out of the Denver yard. I suggest you run in the other direction like they where trying to set your testicles on fire. DM's from other terminals will let loads fail rather then route their drivers into Denver and have to deal with the BS while they are there.

 

Thereq is an entire sub forum on here specifically for Knight. I recommend reading those threads.
If you do, you will see a pattern of driver complaints. Now I know not every company is bad and that drivers are prone to exaggerate the negative, but when so many different people have similar problems, well there must be some truth to What they are writing.

My experience started good but deteriorated rapidly. I would strongly suggest you look elsewhere before signing on with Knight. I have several threads myself which go into much greater detail. Feel free to PM me if you have further questions.

Doubtful. The family that started Knight used to be employed by Swift. Allegedly they didn't care for the direction that Swift was headed or some sort of nonsense like that so they started Knight Transportation.
I think they started their own company because they saw how much money was being made off of abusing drivers by Swift and they wanted a bigger part of the profits.

It's ironic how much Swift and Knight are identical!!
