Are there any advantages to going to the 710 over the 510 other then physical size?

Are there any options that the 510 does not get that the 710 does?

What are the pro's and cons between the 2, I am trying to decide which one I want to go with...

    Thanks in advance.

The only difference is size. Bigger is always better.

    Extras on the 710:

    - Size
    - Traffic predictor
    - Notepad
    - Calendar

Oh, also topographical maps when zoomed out.

Also, with the bigger screen better detail when zoomed in.

    One tip,
I asked to get the glass case opened to buy the 510. The clerk opening the case offered 20% off the 710.

That works out to $360 for the 710, or $350 for the 510!!!! No question that I jumped on that deal! and after starting it, and seeing all the data on the main screen, I am glad I got the 7 inch!

I'm pretty sure it was a loves. So just ask and see if they give you the same deal.

the only problem. I don't think I can use it in my ford ranger to and from the yard. It would block half of the window!

I opted for the 510. That 7" screen is simply too big.
I can velcro-mount the 510 on the dash of my Volvo, so it does not obstruct my vision at all. And since it is a bit lower there is much less glare on the screen from sunlight.

Can you scan a copy of the receipt and E-Mail to me?

The 710 is $449 and the 510 is $349. I am thinking it was another model that they were offering the discount.

    Thanks,
    Mark

What, you don't trust me? Hehehehheee

I have nothing to gain from lying. I asked for the 510, and he offered 20% off the 710. Probably to move the merchandise.

    $449 x .8 = $360.2

Even in the truck I plan to have it on the face of the dash, not on top. Same as Moosetek13.

Retailers have a set price they cannot go below. Other models have been offered at a discount.

What is the serial number off the back?

    Thanks,
    mark

I would rather not post that info also, it is my link to the warranty.
