My Experiance with Watkins Shepard!

Drove 15 minutes to the receiver this morning, when i got there there was a truck in the only door and another W/S driver there waiting. So I talked to him until the door opened up for him.

Then I waited, the faught with the stupid load locks trying to figure out how im going to keep them on the truck, then backed in and got unloaded.

got a QC right away saying just head to missoula, and got down the street and saw my old truck drive by me! lol

Followed it all the way to the terminal.

Went in found LEB got my PO i've been asking for since friday, and turned in my Trip envolopes, 2800miles since i left conover with axe...


Then I got a load, hooked to an MT, and while doing that I met (fatmacdad). Then I went to get loaded. Met another 70something year old W/S driver there.

Went to scale out, then headed south.

Since i had so much of my day wasted in little bits here and there, i couldnt make it to the J. Well the open J. I called the first one because i knew 1 of the 2 were closed up. Both answered but the closer one said (we are closeing now but will be open tomorrow.)


WTF what kinda stupid sheet is that!


anyway so i ran out on my 14 here in Idaho Falls, ID at the "Dad's Truck Stop"


Anyway doing a 10 and PTI then back on the road. I have a load of lumber going to San Diego, CA its like 5 feet from Mexico! WTF!

and of course for some reason there is NOTHING between Las Vegas and Ontario, CA So I'm only going to get to go as far as Vegas tomorrow. Then have to drive the rest of the way on the 11th which is when it has to be there soooooo that means chances are with as low on hours as i'll be and being in SoCal i'll get to STAY right next to mexico....How nice is that!



AND i got to drive in a snow storm today.....in MAY! lol I'll post pics tomorrow, i need sleep.

So after 10.25 hours of being parked i left the TS and hauled butt south, had 1 fuel stop, rolled in with like 20gal left in the tanks!

Anyway, I drove 643 miles i think to the TA in Las Vegas, NV. By the time i got here i only had 1 hour left on my 11 so I couldnt of made it to anything other then the casino TS's.

My apt is 11am tomorrow so I have 1.75 hours to spare and figure traffic will eat all of that so i'm leaveing here as soon as my 10 is over.

so no time to post pics again maybe tomorrow lol

yep its hit or miss for the east coast guys, we either get a load out west then one straight back to the east coast or we get out here and get to play around for a week or so.
