Each state you be traveling in has different restrictions.
Where are you loading/unloading it? -
Flags on all four corners
Signs front and rear
Strobe on tractor and strobe on rear of wagon
If it's 12 my guess that the permits come back with a rear escort required
If it's 11'11"and 3/4 no escort needed if you get my drift
Are you doing the permiting yourself? -
I've hauled many of 12' loads without escorts...
Like I said, each state have different restrictions. -
What states Redd? -
ALL of them. Each state has different requirements for over dimensional loads. The requirements will be on the permits.

Thanks Griz
Reason I was asking is that any of my permits have always required a rear escort on anything 12 or above
but I try to stay south of 80
-
Alabama = Front & Rear escorts required when width exceeds 12' wide
Illinois = 1 escort required when width is greater then 14' 6"
North Dakota = the same as Illinios
South Carolina = Front escort required when loads exceed 12' in width
Shall I continue? -
Nope
No reason to
I think I have only moved one crane that was 12 on the nose and it came back with a rear escort that was FL to TX
Most of my moves are between 12.5 and 13.5 wide -
IN to ND I know each state=different BS to deal with just wanted to know so im not buying extra stuff like what's a good amount of flags to carry 2 banners and to have enough flashing lights
