Crete's long hiring process

I applied to Crete about 10 days ago. I just found out yesterday that my application was sent over to safety. Does anyone know how long it takes to start the pre-qualification/orientation? I have applied to other companies and received employment offers. But Crete is my first choice. I'm just sitting here waiting for the phone to ring.

 

About 10 minutes after posting the above, Crete called to tell me I'm approved. I start orientation on Monday, May 16. So the whole process took exactly two weeks. They still want me to go out with a trainer for a couple of weeks since I have been out of the truck for three years. But that's ok with me. I'm sure the time will go quickly.

 

Yeah, I used to work for them in 2007. I really like the way they operate. Home time is not really an issue with me. My kids are grown so I sold my house and all my stuff. Looks like I'm gonna be living out of my truck.
