Bear in mind, I'm just getting back into OTR after coming off the road in 03. So who else is down and out? I know about PFT already, I know about Western Express buying out SMX, and apparently Dallas Mavis was bought out by Greatwide. And, of course, I heard about the Arrow fiasco - friend of mine was stuck in Washington State on account of that. Which other ones have I missed?

200 million dollars does not even come close to the 1.2 Billion dollars Mr. Cochran got when he sold Overnite....and that was just Mr. Cochran's "take", his kids got several million dollars for their shares of Overnite....had to have been close to a 2 Billion dollar (total) deal (back then)

(correction, it was 1.2 Billion dollars)

yep, they sure did....funny how the railroad was going to give it away for a loss a few years earlier...

ATLANTA (AP) -- Package-delivery company UPS Inc. on Monday said it is acquiring trucking firm Overnite Corp. for about $1.25 billion in cash, expanding its portfolio of ground-transportation services.
