Sitting in the Columbus shop for another big chunk of days.

How do you switch terminals? If I'm out of Menasha, could I switch to the Edwardsville, KS terminal even if I live in NE Wisconsin?

    Hamshoe Thanks this.

Finally on the road. Right now in Alburqueque (sp) never could spell this city, and too tired to look it up again. Received a very strange load. I will write about it when I get it dropped in NJ on Sunday. Enjoying the new ride.

hey jarhead, pickup and delivery times are based on local time zone of shipper and receiver. if you count the hours between the pickup and delivery to calculate how long it should take to get there, the time zone differences are sometimes forgotten. pick up in central, deliver in eastern and lose an hour along the way.

prescott, ar last night and schertz, tx tonight. then back to lancaster terminal tomorrow. supposed to be home in san diego today. oops, i guess the planners forgot.

Ogden, UT for a little longer. Had a couple of monkeys keep me up waaayyyy past my bedtime. One of whom couldn't get over running across Wyoming with a Swift...and it wasn't even my idea! The other one telephonicly twisted my arm to veer right at the 80/84 split and wind up here instead of Salt Lake City, where my delivery is in four hours. I don't think I've laughed so hard or so long in years.

Regarding time zones: you log in whatever time zone your home terminal is in. If Decatur, Eastern time; if Oklahoma City, Central; if Denver, Mountain; if Troutdale, Pacific....if Phoenix, Arizona time. Arizona stays on Standard Time year round.

Last night Minooka, Illinois...picking up in Chicago and got a perfect little run that puts me thru the crib for 2 days. Sometimes they actually get things right here at Swift...of course I have not loaded yet and of course I say something positive and the bottom will drop out of this plan...lol

I was not really serious about the flatbedders and there backing skillz...just that it happened that there were aboput a dozen of them parked everywhere except the marked spots and they were blocking being able to get into the spots that were legit. I say take what you can get after all the other spots are filled...some folks are just really scared to back into parking. Unfortunatley that is a catch-22...if you avoid backing then how the hell you gonna learn to back up?
