truck vs. Chicago commuter train ...

Just thinning the genetic pool...Stupid is as stupid does, to quote Forrest Gump.

 

It stated that the dump truck driver went around the crossing arms. Well at least that is one less idiot on our roadways.

 

i am sorry the driver died and feel sorry for those left behind....but yeah i tend to agree, if the arms were down...and he went around them....well.....

 

50 traffic violations including a DUI ? Are you kidding?

 

If this driver was actually hired by a company that owned the truck, the company should be put out of business. This man was a disaster waiting to happen, and it's ###### fortunate that he didn't take out anyone but his own stupid self.

Sorry, but I have a real difficult time offering condolences given the circumstances. It's more like a big "thank you" to the train.

 

i kinda skimmed the article and looked at the pics....lol, thanks for pointing that out...i went and read it just now after seein ur comment....unbelievable....

 

Some of the violations this guy had were for running traffic lights, and disobeying traffic control devices. It also states that he appearantly made a left turn when sign was flashing no left turn & then proceeded to drive into the train. I totally agree that the owner needs to be closed down. I'm sure when the lawyers get done with him he will be closed,bankrupt.

 

What good is the CDL anyway? It hasn't solved any problems.The same ol same ol.

 

Why was that guy driving?How could he have a CDL? Refering to the Metra accident in Chicago.
