Straps cause dammage to tarps.... I can't afford to buy new tarps, so I make sure my straps go underneath.... That way you won't tear the tarps up!

when i put the straps underneath, my exp. has not been to good looking out the mirror i see a parachute looking tarp, for me the strap's help to keep it contained. "personal preference" i suppose.

keep working on the method your using the bungees to hold it down, as you will damage your tarps that way.

simple tips i was given, do the front then rear leaving the corner overhang.

next take that corner overhang and fold it in like an envelope or gift wrapping.

Lastly go down the sides securing it as snugly as required.

    volia.

almost all of the loads i have had to tarp have been irregular shape/height, thus having excess tarp in places, this is where the ballooning effect has come from. :)
