guys and gals lets make this real simple about averitt express..ok here
goes i will try to be nice as i can.. take it from me i worked there for thirteen years.. no bs this is the honest truth.. averitt is just another
trucking company.. they put on a very good show.. i finally grew a brain
and went a got a real job...the only good thing about averitt is there
bebefits.. afterall averitt is more of a truckload company.. now anybody
who has driven for any length o time knows that about 90%of truckload
companies are aweful to work for...now with that being said if you can get
a ltl job with averitt..you will have a decent job.. but plan on being there
for a long time before you will ever be considered due to all the polotics and
the "good ole boy system".. i hope this helps some people...

Wow! I've been searching forums for awhile trying to find honest opinions about Averitt - as opposed to what recruiters will tell you. This is the first thread that I have actually found any bad opinions of them. Is there a reason for that?

Seeing as the last post here was about a year and a half ago...I was just wondering if there are any current Averitt drivers that can give their honest opinion of how the company is now. How is it working for them? How much of what is on their website is true? Do regional drivers get home every weekend? How long are you home before going out again? What are you average miles per week on regional? I know that all depends on a ton of factors, but I'm just looking for as much info on them as I can get. I'm going to truck school in about a month and would like to start talking with companies (to get the pre-hire stuff done).
