I quit them on my hometime because this guy tried to change my hometime agreement, hosing my plans for six months. Then they deducted 1508$ out of my last check to spite me, because I left it in the fart worth yard instead of denver. I finished a load to fort worth and went home from there like always, so I don't owe them squat. SUE SUE SUE Stand up to these corporate F#### Don't let these mexican loving slavedrivers take a dollar from you.

You are not kidding. My husband drove for Navajo and decided to quit leaving the truck in their Phoenix yard. They charged him with "Abandonment of a truck" and now that is on his DAK report, and they insist of suing him for over $3000 for the said "abandonment". Now tell me, who abandons a truck in their own yard???

It is abandoment if your hubby drops the truck off were they do not want it.

If anyone quits their job in trucking you are suppose to call and ask were they want the truck dropped off at.

Your hubby can be charged recovery fee's so that the company can have it brought to the yard were they want it.

Unfortunately, Gassel's right here. You do have to take the truck where they tell you to when you quit, but get them to tell you over the Qual-comm. That way they can't change their story later.

Jim Franklin yelled into the phone "You will be charged" before hanging up, but the jokers didn't know, I'd already closed that account. They got $250 plus my $90 from my padlock, from my last paycheck, not 1508, and that is all they are going to get, if they keep that! These jokers are silly. I know they loaded that truck back to denver, not deadhead. So I don't owe them $1. Plus, if it had been truly "abandoned", they would be "recovering" it from that pond behind their office in Denver. I know they are scrawling abandonment on my dac, and if I can do anything about it, I will make them pay. screw dac, and navajo, and the otr industry. Their is so much of this anti-american screwing of workers.

These companies have no trouble abandoning drivers! I didn't drive it back to denver, because they already proved over the last 6 months with Jim franklin, that they can't or won't get me home reliably. So why wait on a load to denver (supposedly) when I had another job waiting that gets me home every night with weekends off? I didn't give them notice becuase they can't get me home in 2 weeks, and I'm not going to stand up the new boss that does what i need for hometime.

If I did drive it toward Denver, I bet they would pull that trick where they pull you over at a weigh station, and the dot tells you that your company called, youre not authorized to drive the truck, and you have to get out. I'm not getting crapped on like that! I've got a wife and I've got stuff to do and responsibilities, not time to hitch hike home from who knows where with all my clothes and junk.

    Hey navajosteals

No offence to you navajo but you should of taken that truck were they wanted the company can not kick you off the truck at a weight station all you would of needed is a qualcom message from them saying to driver x please return the truck to Denver terminal that would of been your authorzation.

I think it is bad that a company will ignore it's drivers home time just for a load to make them alot of money but I guess the care more for the money.

They need to relize that if there are no drivers then how will they make money.

Good luck hopefully you will be treated better by your new company.

Yeah, I get to see my wife more than once a month and cook in my kitchen instead of rest areas. I think I'm in the right. I left it in Fort
Worth at their truck yard, with an office and trailers, and they loaded it out of fort worth to denver, so they didn't lose anything but a driver.

When they have exhausted Americans' patience with thier evil schemes and sorry home time scams, they just use mexicans. Thats the big thing now, hispanics from mexico and brazil etc won't work for free, but they will put up with a lot more abuse.

I asked them if I could just drive it straight to denver overnight, I'd take the bus home. They said no, they have to load it. That means monday morning to monday night, back in denver tuesday morning to tuesday night. No way, my other job is mon-fri 8-12 hrs. Navajo steals!

If anyone here has had this experience of getting their paycheck robbed after dropping it in their yard, let me know how you got your money back. :biggrin_2559:

Good thing that I did not ask them for a job.

I asked them to send me info and it never showed up so I figuared they must not want drivers like the sign says.

They have a yard here in Greeley Co but that use to be Dsco that was the most appealing thing to me that there was a yard close to me.

you know most company's can have a yard a mile from you but you would never get to see it until it was home time.:biggrin_25519::biggrin_2556:
