I didn't read that.... But that can be set to any value that the user wants it to be. What I read was where he said they have been with Werner for 3 months now. Werner is a training company. Why would anyone who legititmatly have 7 years experience drive for them?

    Hang on hang on.

I drove for ccc transportation in florida for six and a half yrs. Did some loads to southern georgia a couple times and that's it. From what I've learned, florida doesn't give you experience, lol. Its a whole new world out here, this mountains and snow stuff is something I have to get used to.

So I only have three or four REAL months experience, but I guess u can say I've been a trucker for a lot longer... just wish all that time on flat, dry roads woulda accounted for something.

I am also considering us xpress. And yes these are me and my wifes choices for now due to experience reasons. Id love to haul produce coast to coast but JCT needs a year and quest also. Most good companies do.

What's your guys opinion on us express vs covenant? I saw covenant was a smaller company so (usually) it means they treat people better. I could be wrong on that however.

Do a search on covenant here.

I remember reading where they were billing the driver 5.00 per hour for idling recently.

Covenant treats their driver's like ####. You'd be better off with US Xpress. What about Kennesaw?

While I agree that charging to idle when the truck has no apu is a shady thing to do, we most likely won't be idleing as a team. Provided the miles I've been quoted are accurate. There will be times when its hot as hell and I'm being loaded for 4 hrs and ill have to idle. Honestly, id rather idle and be charged 20 bucks and make 400 for the day at covenant, than to not be charged at werner yet only earn $200 a day.

Us express sounds great but they only allow 4 days home max, even if your out 8 weeks. That might be a deal breaker for us. Are there any more complaints about covenant other than ideling? I just don't see a team ideling like a solo driver would be.

    Thanks
