It's easy to do.... and can get ruined just a easily with 1 canceled load. I just book em, and if they cancel, then I find something else. Hence why I stick around the area I do, knowing there are plenty of $2 per mile loads around. I would be hesitant if I was running out west or towards FL

 

I probably cause myself more problems not booking far enough out. I don't have a load for tomorrow and nothing much listed for houston right now

 

Yes, you deff are. You need to book at least 3 days out, especially in TX and deff if you are going to Houston. Not much freight in that area thru SNI

 

there is a load to WY I want to book but it would be tight on hr's. I know I could do it but big orange won't argree i'm sure of it. they don't want to acknowledge that we aren't driving one of their 60mph trucks

 

If you think you can do it, then book it. Just remember the penalties if you cant make it. I have never had them call me about my 70hrs and I used to cut it to within 30 minutes sometimes. I also am based out of Indy and not Charlotte tho, so that might make a difference too

 

I just looked up that WY load, and I wouldn't do it for that rate. You won't find anyhting coming back from there and will most likely have to deadhead a long ways. If it was over $2.25 then I'd say go for it, but it's nowhere close.

The problem you have is you seem to be chasing the total revenue and not the $ per mile. There is a good load on there to San Antonio for tomorrow that isn't bad, and then you could grab a Schullenburg load back to Dallas and get a reset in or book better loads.

Problem with Houston is that the stuff pays crappy coming out due to all the trucks in the area looking for freight. It's just as bad a Laredo or Florida

and there was a good load from Laredo to SC I saw too, just a hint.

 

SHC so all those loads you have booked are over $2/mile and under 20,000 lbs each ?

 

I know, I was just looking at the short term money. I need some good runs to turn in by saturday in order to get my truck note caught up. they're bugging me about it. I'm a few weeks late with all the problems I had with my old co and with switching companies.

I just booked up the rest of my week. tomarrow unload in conroe, tx, load in seabrook going to pineville, la. ruston, la to ft. smith ar and then relaod back to houston for saturday delivery then go home for a few days. money turned out okay for tx.. $410, $525 and $935. plus I already have something like $1600 in this week. and I was at home yesterday
