Well I received two offers from two companies to go to their driving school and I'm having a hard time picking. If I go to C1 the school is around 2 hours from me so I guess on weekends I could come home during my training or I can go to Prime and have better pay and I have a feeling I would have better home time since I see more prime trucks than Pam here in Jonesboro Ar. What would you suggest? And If I go to prime what will they do if I have my dot physical done here before I go?

Are those your only choices? Using a company driving school is probably the least desirable way to go, but if you are intent on doing it, check out Millis transfer. A lot of folks have talked positively about them as a company school.

They ignore the physical you already took, and make you take one with the company doctor.

DOT sets minimum standards for a drivers physical, a company can set any standard it wants above that minimum for hiring.

I am looking at Prime as well. I looked at Driver Solutions for PAM but I think the training and pay at Prime will be better. Prime will advance you $200 per week for the first 30 days you are on the road with your CDL trainer (one-on-one training and immediate driver training is a big plus for me). Also, when you come off the road with the CDL instructor and get your CDL, Prime pays a minimum of $600 per week minimum when out with the trainer when most other companies are only offering $300-$550 per week. I have looked at a lot of companies and I think I am going to roll with Prime. Not as much hometime promised as the others but there are so many other benefits.
