Since when did 400 miles become local?:biggrin_2559:. I'm not doing the gig anymore, I gave it to my brother so he could be home with is kids. Plus he has less experience in this industry than I do, so keeping him on that gives me peace of mind.

I think we both agree that just cause your running 2000 miles on a load doesn't mean you should be runnign it for less mileage.

I was just gonna say that if you think thats good money then would you mind exiting stage left, the rest of us would like to make a living in this industry....:biggrin_2559:

I can say the same thing over here at SNI. I live just outside of Chitown and there are usually a bunch of loads on the boards, but the last 2 weeks there have not been many..... I think everyone is just waiting for all those mexican trucks to come flooding over and pull all the freight for .35cpm

    Coconut cream or chocolate, please.

And sorry about the off-topic discussion - its our anniversary (26 yrs), had a great supper, and we're going out to sing karaoke later... she's getting ready, which we all know can be an hour or more... so I'm on here and bored as hell. Please forgive.

I'm a relatively new driver in comparison to you guys (2 yrs overall). Based on the expertise in this forum what is the best way to have good weekly averages in terms of pay? I'm looking to go back into running skateboard again and thinking about lease purchase or possible o/o. I've been all over the country driving and need to get idea about what freight pay and doesn't pay, better company situations and overall a plan of action. Any advice would be well appreciated and drive safe ladies and gents!

That is so true. Here in Cali, i see this on a regular basis. But because they under estimate ops costs or don't know, they will go under very soon. Quasi equipment and lack of business skills will be there downfall. Give it some time. Once a lot of O/O refuse "cheap freight" and no one will pick up
rates will come up, but slowly. It will "weed out" the "riff raff".

A pink truck could also be a flagship of support for Breast Cancer Awareness.
