That would make sense because the byotch supposedly has a place down in Georgia too. I think they should revoke her senior citizens coffee discount at Mcdonalds.

Did you file a complaint with the state? They LOVE to go after these folks... and you WILL get your money if you have your paperwork together...

I finally got a letter from the state labor board saying they opened an investigation on the old hag. Hopefully that'll mean something to me in the end.

You have logs and other documents showing you did the work in her truck. Believe it or not the law does apply common sense and a verbal contract is valid. It will be hard for her to explain why she did not pay you.

Small claims court, ask for everything you can think of. If she does not show up then you have a judgement. If she does not pay you know she has a trucking company and that allows more leverage for collection.

Just got a letter from the Labor board. It looks like if she doesn't pay by July 15th they are going to issue an order to "find the funds due" and charge her penalties and civil fines How sweet it is! VENGEANCE IS MINE HA HA HA HA

Was that the " STATE LABOUR BOARD" , if so do not count the $ yet. They can only look for FUNDS DUE in the STATE the judgement was issued , all she does is pull up stakes and moves on.

Stay on top of it. Find out if she still has the truck leased at the same place. If not, find out where. Getting money often comes down to giving them the information to make it happen. In collecting judgements, I have found they don't have the funds or resourses to chase people down. When I have provided that information, they have always taken action.

Yes that is very true but at least the state Board did SOMETHING which is better than the nothing I was expecting them to do.

I just like the idea of putting the hurt on her like she did me.
