Yeah, I'm expecting to go team for at least 6 months. After that I'll see what's going on.

I live within 50 miles if Irving, so that will have an effect I'm sure.

Well, that does make it easier for them to team...but it also makes it easier for you to get a dedicated run, seeing as most that run through Texas go through Dallas....

Hopefully PAM has changed since I drove with them in 04. At that time not only did they have those terrible automatics, my first time out I had a truck with hole in the roof of the cab, cracked windshield, and my first pickup was preload in the middle of a field with no paperwork and cut electric line on the trailer. I promptly parked the truck and made them get me to the house. I'm not saying your experience will be like mine however dont be surprised by anything with this company. Good luck and drive safe

Well, it's been a crazy first week. First we tried to have the truck serviced in North Little Rock, but were pulled from the shop to take a haz mat load to San Antonio. Seems my trainer was the only one there with the endorsment. I drove. Us to Laredo next where we were going to pick up and go to Ohio. But, the truck now won't shift out of low gear and the cruise stopped working. So, we're stuck here till it's fixed.

At least I'm learning about getting repairs done and dealing with road resque.

Load have placards? Most of my "hazmat" loads didn't reach placarding minimum.

My trainer is funny. He talks to his GPS. "No, we're not going that way, so shut up."
