OK, back on topic. Was getting down on myself and everything this week with $2/mile loads and having to hunt for them. When in the past couple of months I would think twice about posting my truck because I knew I was going to be pausing NASCAR radio every 5-mins with calls. But not the past couple weeks. Had to hunt for everything. And then I pull a bone head. Hit the cat scales and over on tandems. Slide six holes and all should be good. Didn't bother to pull across again.

It the scale this morning on I70 in IN and you guessed it. 500 over on drivers ####%###.

But, no ticket just a violation on inspection and not going to stress. Been 5-years since anything.

But still revenue down for the week and planned vacation time next week for daughters high school graduation.

And for the good news. Got a $3/mile load 15 miles from drop that can deliver this weekend. So what was turning out to be my least profitable week since January turned into an above average week going into a week off.

So all is not lost and I can take some not so desirved time off not stressing that revenue and profits are down.

OK, I am never posting that things aren't as bad as they seem again. As I was hitting "post" my phone rings with wifey asking "What does it mean when grey/blue smoke is coming out of my tail pipe?"
I guess we know what I am doing on my vacation.

And those skinny girls... well, they're too young for me to oogle at, since I have two daughters older than them... but what they need is for dad to take them to a proper truckstop or Cracker Barrel and get them some chicken fried steak and eggs and get some meat on their bones.
