Truckers vacation

I'll tell ya what, I'll go on vacation that week. So that's makes two of us!

Well almost, I work in the office so I'm sure that doesn't count. But i'm with ya in spirit.

Well almost, I actually don't really care just turns out I have plans that week and I'm going to be on vacation. But if it helps you can add me to your cause!

Although I'm thinking that will defeat the purpose. Actually wait a second, aren't there like a ton of people worried that the mexican drivers are going to take over. Why don't we just invite them to come up and pick up all the freight that you aren't going to run while you are on strike. I'm sure I'm over thinking it.

Well almost, I didn't put any thought into this. So I guess I'm saying good luck with that.

Yup our friends from the south will haul the freight, this is true. So let them. Dont be scared of them, let them prove themselves good or bad. Let DOT pull their butts over and do a shedule III. Wont hurt my feelings one bit.

april 1st always was a bad idea anyways. everybody thinks you are pulling a joke. So it never works out.

you guys in the office enjoy your taunts while you can. wont be long before you are wondering why you cant get gum remover no more and will just have to shave off all of your hair.

it is true freight will keep moving, for two dont make spit .. but two is a start

I will say one more thing. Truckers cant shut down, its really not in our blood to. It will never occur that every truck will stop on one particular day. though that would be one way, not the only way but the one most effective way to tighten up for better conditions, higher rates, bigger parking lots, more rest areas, quicker load unload times, aint ever gonna lower fuel, but might get some house members to support the cause.

but it will never happen. and they [pick whoever] knows that, and deep down ya'll know that.

though I will take a vactation on that week, I know this. The only way truckers are ever going to get things legally changed or improved is to buy yourselves about fifteen congressmen and two senators. Tis how things work in this wonderful country of ours.

 

At least you got the right idea. A strike/vacation/sick out isn't going to prove anything. Someone else will pick up the slack. If you want to make changes write your congressman. Get organized and petition the government. See if you can get Michael Moore or Morgan Spurlock to do an over sensationalized documentary on the industry. You'll shed more light on what is actually going on and maybe accomplish something. Striking is not the way to go in this industry, more than likely you'll only end up hurting yourself.


And I'm still going on vacation that week.

 

Well just the other day hubby and I were trying to decide which week in Aug to take off so this makes it simple. Aug 1 thru the 7th. I know 3 won't make any difference but at least it's a start....

Come on guys and gals who's willing to make it 4?

 

Im in, guess ill be taking our family float trip that week.
