I'll tell you who I hate. The LS agent that posted a load, booked me on it and then never called me to say that the customer got it covered. I know that stuff happens but to make me hunt you down and figure that out is BS.
And gave the owner of the agency a piece of my mind this morning.

Did you have the rate con? I'd bill them for TONU.

NO, booked it while driving. Called an hour after talking to them and was told they are waiting on details from customer. When I stopped and followed up the agency had closed. Called LS customer service and they started call cell phones and leaving messages. Customer Service emailed me about 8:30 last night saying they had not heard anything (and didn't want to call me in case I was sleeping).
I finally reached the agency this morning and the same, depressed, Eeyore sounding guy said he still had not heard from customer. So figured it was gone. After MT called again and got to the owner. He told me the customer had covered it. And I politly laid into him.
After the above post I got a call from LS customer service asking if things had been figured out. Told them no and explained. They assured me they would be noting my account to make sure no potential negative notes would be held against me. And gave me a $200 credit onto my fuel card.
I make good money from LS that I don't want to have the few idiots blow it for me. Last I checked a couple weeks ago my average hub rate from LS was $2.39/mile. -
Hey that's awesome. $200 is all we're getting from the numbskull from the other day for the TONU... except me have to wait 30 days for them to pay

Just looked and have hauled 18 loads for LS with only 2 issues (now 3) with agents. And one of those agencies has been terminated with LS since I worked with them.
So overall I not only can't complain I am a fan of LS as a whole. Won't lease on with them as I am still doing better than any LS driver pulling vans I have talked to. -
Same thing I am doing, except 123 instead of ITS. I've been tempted to try ITS and dump 123. I rarely get a load from 123 but there has been 2-3 times they've gotten me out of a rough spot.
You comment about building relationships is spot on. Whenever I'm depending on the load board to produce something I will get in a bind. When I can scan the board and know who to call, it's easy.
I made another (of many it seems lately) tough call today. With the weekend almost on us and spending a day and a half calling on BS loads, I decided to cut our losses and DH back to ATL from Detroit. I need to get back in my lane and spend less time hustling for no good loads that are gone anyway by the time I pick up my phone and dial. When I did the math it was about a wash. Keep the truck posted there and start all over again Monday, or for about the same money bring it back for a sure thing, with the extra bonus of a happier driver going out with a fresh reset instead of camping in the truck stop all weekend.
So after struggling with the decision and finally doing it, not 5 min goes by and I get a call from a broker I like who's moving produce out of the gulf coast looking for trucks. Told him I was putting together something for Tuesday and I'd let him know. Made one call and booked a load on Monday to where the next one will be when we get there. Now it feels like I waited a day too long to do it LOL.
Humor for the day:
I mentioned yesterday I felt like I was calling in to a radio station giveaway and just missing by 5 min. This morning one of the many calls I made put me on hold. Their hold music was the local radio station.. that's right - doing an on-air give away. Of course when they came back, the load was already covered.
bang - head - desk.Strider Thanks this. -

Hahahaha I know your pain. We were very close to deadheading out of Chicago then we finally got that payday load... Only cuz we can team. We called on soooo many loads. I'd call and they'd say it was gone like WTF its been on the board 45 seconds. What do ppl do? Call up and immediately say "I'll take it! I'll take it!!" Without even asking anything about it or the rate? Lmao

Tankergirl80 Thanks this. -
This is to funny! I don't know where to start so I'll make it simple. I stated the boards I don't use, cause I don't like them. I never said they was all cheap cause every board has its good and bad. I don't use them cause I have to call and talk to some idiot who wants to lowball me. I'm not very polite to people who try to screw me, so my cousin deals with them and saves me the headaches, thats what he gets his % for, and he's good at it!
The snarky part, well, like I said before, if you think $2.00 a mile is good then yeah I will be snarky and I'll tell you your an idiot.
I'm not telling you my loadboard, it wouldn't do you any good!
I don't pull a motorized trailer, I'm smarter than that.....
