I would have to say the best truck out there, is the one I dont have to pay for.
You came to right place, these drivers know what truck is the best. You might have to buy them lunch though.

The one thing that equalizes all trucks out there, regardless of make, is that they get assembled by human hands at some point. And each human is different in how they work from the next one. Remember the deal about a car made on a Monday versus a car made on a Friday? Same deal here. Have driven every make at one point or another, and honestly, I wish Marmon was still in business! Still the best truck I ever drove!

Volvo... before everyone gets mad, THINK about it: you don't see a lot of big fleet companies runnin Petes or KWs - that's bad business unless you have an image to protect (they look sweet tho). The Volvo 780 has the best resale except for the KW900, BUT what you may lose in resale to the KW, you will make up for in fuel mileage with Volvo. I'm getting 8.1-8.4 mpg with my I-shift, too. Depending on the mileage and freight you do, this could be over $100,000 while you own the truck So... for me, that's a bigger deal than resale.

I bought 2 Brand new Coronado's for my heavy haul.
2012 White 46K rears, 14.6 fronts, 500HP ISX 15, Eaton 18spd, etc etc. Same exact truck from KW was 30K more and from Pete was 35K more.
2013 Black 46K rears, 14.6 fronts, 20K steerable drop, 600HP ISX 15, 18spd, etc etc. Same exact truck from KW was 40K more and pete was 48K more.
I spec'd all the trucks the exact same and i personally love the way the new Coronado SD's look. I figure thats 75-80K i put towards my 4 axle trailer instead of a truck that does the same thing. So far the 2012 has 30K on the clock, all heavy with no problems. The 2013 has 10K on it pulling almost all 150-165K gross. So far so good. I did the no brainer and bought the extended warranty on both.
BTW This is all northeast miles, NY, NJ, CT, MD and PA. No smooth or flat roads, all potholes and hillsAM77 Thanks this. -
i had a 2009 kw 900l studio,i say had,that truck put me out of business,or shall i say the price of fuel did,5 mpg,tryed to trade it for a truck with good mpg,no one would give me anything on trade,i could run 120 mph,and i looked good,but that type of truck is over,also it was a piece of crap,all newer trucks r junk.
