I was not attacking little and when I first read her/his post I felt for her. I know and have experienced trucks getting on your bumper. I wouldn't have stayed in that situation. (it sounded like it had continued on for a while. If I am wrong I'm sorry). I stated I know how traffic is in NJ and that is a fact since I grew up there and learned to drive in NJ. I also know calling 911 for a moving violations can be and usually is useless. I also know this because I do have a shoe-phone (joke if you can recognize a joke) and have placed calls only to be told nothing can be done if I don't know where the vehicle went.
She could have pulled over to the shoulder as soon as she could. If not then I'm sorry. She wanted input and we gave it. Not being there how could we know exactly what she could have done. By the way I am not a truck driver. I drive a car.(for now anyway)

Exactly If he was using the Smith System, this could never happen.

You all talk like all truckers out there are "professionals". Just because driving is a persons profession, doesn't make their behavior professional.
In my 8 months of driving, I have seen alot of drivers that I wonder how they even made it on the road (swerving, agressive, inattentive, etc.) not to mention those that can't park and back up.

I didn't see anyway in any post where it was stated all drivers are professional. Merely different scenarios were suggested. If you read my post I cited an incident where a trucker was on my bumper. Idiots come in all shapes and sizes of vehicles.

Mabey she is like alot of other 4 wheelers seen a long line of traffic in the one lane then zipped over to the other lane and right before the cones or barrells wanted to zip back in .
Thus saving her a few min of time by not sitting way back.
I admit I have done it too go arround a long line and zipped in. But she also needs to relize that it is possible that the driver did not see her tiny car.
That is why some of us proffesional drivers stay back to see the vehicles rear tires that is in front of us. I would like the o p to get up in a truck and see what we driver can and can't see. Belive me before I went through school and drove that truck I did alot of stupid stuff behind the wheel of my 4 wheeler but now I know better. I could not belive how much you could not see in front of the rig but I now understand completely.

I have had other truckers cut me off comming from side road with a stop sign even while I was driving in the school truck I just allow for the extra distance for those kind of things .
No one can stop dumb ##* drivers you just have to watch for them and allow them to get away from you I always allow extra stopping distance than needed if someone cuts me off i just back off of it and readjust following distance.

    Hello,
Your right, it is lack of perfessionalism, but it is also lack of respect, nobody respect anyone else these days, truckers used to be one big happy family, now eveyone is against us and it's truckers against truckers too now days...My Hubby has been driving for 28 years (Accident Free) he told me how it used to be, and I see how it is NOW....What happened to comraderie and commom respect for fellow drivers??

YOU have nothing to apologize for ... I too would not have stayed in this situation and would have gotten myself out of it ASAP!
I would also have gotten a company name of the truck or some sort of info on it.

Not to sound like a tough guy, but I would have been up on the side of that truck in about 5 seconds. As a matter of fact, my wife probably would have as well had something like this happened to her. That is, if it went down like you say.

I can't help but wonder if the driver wasn't flipping you off rather than waving you over for being in a lane that was closing until the last minute, and then lost track of you. Not much else I can say about this as the story sounds a little crazy. If it happened like you said, you should have been on the phone to 911. License plate or not, that truck would have been stopped within minutes merely by a description of it, and the evidence would have been on the bumper.

Man I wasn't there so I'm not going to start spitting out what I think happend. Although 13 years ago I was riding with my uncle from Ft. Worth back to here in AR and we hit a Fiero that decided to pull in front of us at the last minute in a construction zone. It just felt like a big bump in the road and we pushed him for awhile as well. Didn't even know he was there until the trooper in the construction stopped us. So who knows. Maybe it was an accident, maybe it wasn't. I know I've wanted to push a few people off the road in my time. Not that its right, but we all get our rages now and then.

Makes me glad to not live where there is a lot of traffic. Sorry that was such a traumatic experience for you. You should always get info if things like that happen... even with 4 wheelers.

    Mr Ed Thanks this.
