all new drivers, what have you learned on the TRUCKERSREPORT? With all the threads here, have they helped you? And also, the Experienced Drivers, have you learned anything here on this forum?

Myself, the backing and loading, unloading of heavy equipment.
The safety and operations tanker drivers go through day by day.
The safety of loading flatbeds, and how many chains are appropriate.
And much more, I learned here. I still believe there is so much more to learn. At my age, I forget from now and then.:biggrin_2559:

    REDD and tinytim Thank this.

I'm neither a driver nor a newbie, but I'm chiming in anyway.

I've always respected those folks who drive the big trucks that deliver our freight. What I've gained here is an entire new depth of respect for what drivers deal with on a daily basis. Not just idiot four-wheelers and shippers and receivers who don't know their heads from a hole in the ground, but the amount of KNOWLEDGE required -- the regulations, rules of securement, logging, physics, mechanics -- to be successful at this career. I would guess that those who have no ties to the industry are pretty much clueless as to what's involved in making the products we use available to us.

    Wargames and 1nonly Thank this.

    hmmm what have i learned--
well iguess i have learned that it really does take all kinds
and i have learned to bite my tounge (even though i am on a keyboard)--so i dont insult or make somebody cry,who has no business getting behind the wheel of a truck(maybe under one)
i am sorry but if anybody is going to whine its going to be mine---what you are to hot?--too cold--your trainer farts too much---for christ sakes do something about it then--this broken --thats broken--fix it or dont fix it--or quit---

i am going to start up a home business selling balls---cause it seems a lot people seem to be missing theirs

this was not aimed at anybody in particular---not even the ones who ask for an automatic cause they cant count to 13 every time---just at all the whiners--myself included
