yesterday I hauled a load of glass jars from ruston, LA to Ft. Smith AR. them things were every bit of 45k lbs., rode like a box of rocks and it's two lane the whole way. And I ran it FAST. that one run alone makes up for a good chunk of my weekly fuel use. there is always like a dozen of those loads on the board but I'm not sure they are worth $1.85/mi

today I have 13k lbs and one of the new trailers with skirting on it. didn't think a pumpkin trl could get uglier

I've hauled those jars outta Ruston when I was in Milky's truck.

We took 'em up to Ragu in Owensboro.

I think it paid $900 on 600 miles last year.

    #### sure wasn't worth it to me, especially when I usually deadheaded from the Dallas area.

I think they got those thru CHR.

    You know what that means.

I thought you took that load to Joplin specifically to get that fixed?

ya well like I said. That's what I get for letting s drunk work on my truck. He didn't have any sealant when I went to get it fixed. he siliconed where I thought it was leaking from and that did stop but it's got another leak. I thought it was just one spot and it was running across and dripping in multiple places but it's not, it's leakign in multiple places

I refuse to haul anyhting over 30k on SNI's board (except Chep pallets) just due to the fact of the weight and MPG loss. I'd rather take a load at $1.65 weighing at 15k than a load at $1.85 weighing at 40k.

Just for example, I have a 7 pallet load of battery powder (for - side of a battery) and it weighs 16k, pays $2.75 mile going to Toledo. I then will take a load from Coldwater, MI (pallets) that weighs 37,800 to grand Rapids and it's $350 on 100 miles. Then i got a 11k lb load from GR to Berwick, PA # $2.25 mile, then a load of potato chips back to Indy (4500 lbs) # $1.35 a mile (good for PA) then i think I'm gonna garb something going to the West Coast next week as i have found a niche that runs from CHI to LA and back and I can avg $2.15 for all the miles

Do y'all ever find the weights posted on the board to be lighter than it actually is once you get the bills?

I know that happens to me a lot with brokers.

Sometimes, but most of the time it is the opposite. Board will say 30,000 and the bills will turn out 42+ which pisses me off seeing I booked the load at 30k, not 42k, but they won't compensate for the overage. That is why I usually only take loads from places i know run light. And a Chep Pallet load is always the same weight.
