    BigKid,

My thoughts on the JCT thread aside, I will say you have a very good, informative thread here. It's a good read. Thanks for taking the time to share all of this information. Your Risinger thread was great, as well.

    Drive safe!

    BigKid2 and supertruckerporkchop Thank this.

Left the house and loaded in Henderson,Ky going to Smithton,Pa. After that I loaded in Franklin,Pa and deliver in the morning in Browns Summit,Nc. After that I pick up in High Point,Nc going to Kansas City to deliver then I fly out from KC to Las Vegas for at least a week and hopefully longer depending on how I do in the World Series of Poker.

I'm still new to this, but am I seeing your figures correctly? Taking home .55/mile and fuel costing .585/mile thus far?

Correct after fuel and all expenses I am taking home .55 a mile after everything including fuel is paid for. Will drop a bit because of the extended timeoff though. I took a week off at home and I leave tomorrow for Vegas for at least a week.

I've never played in a tournament, but my experience in Vegas is if you get ahead, don't get greedy, and don't let the door hit you in the butt when leaving. Best of luck. Good read.
Question though. How about health insurance? Does ACT offer it and how much does it cost? That could make a big adjustment to your per mile income vs a company driver. Plus you pay an additional 7.5% of your net pay in payroll taxes.

I was wondering how your lease program is still working at ACT? I am located in KC.

Everything is still going well. My numbers have dropped a bit because I have taken 2 of the last 3 weeks off but I am still averaging $.0528 per mile after all expenses and $.07 per mile is already deducted for my maintenance fund. No complaints at all really.
