Power for back up lights

    I drive a 2005 Sterling and I want to hook up some backup lights.
    Where can I take my power from?
    There are some blank studs behind the panel in front of the passenger seat on the dash.
    Can I hook up to these?

    Hello ktmken: No experience with Sterlings, but just my opinion here...
    I am sure you very capable and and not trying to insult you.
    Whatever you do for power, fuse it. Only adds a couple of minutes to the job and eliminates potentially big problems...:biggrin_25521:

    use LEDs and do not worry about current. It will be extrimally low... but use fuses to protect wiring if circuit may be short with wire damage.

    LED's.....I hadn't even thought about using them. I will do some research,

    do you want to wire them so they only come on when you are actually in reverse, or be able to use them at other times too, perhaps with an Aux switch?

    I may have mis-led you guys. I actually am going to use them as work lamps to light up the deck. So they will be hooked up to a switch and not the back up circuit. I was planning on using a switch and a relay.
