Missouri Tornado Discussion!

Dad and i use to climb up on the roof of the house with a 6pack and watch the smaller ones go by. Anything past a F3 we headed to the basement.
followed many tornado's growing up, but one this big, there is not much you can do but hope you will be ok.

Yea, i've got the scanner online as well.

its kind of mind blowing to know where you grew up is mostly gone. The photos just leave me without words.
not much sleep for me tonight.

on the scanner "All units to secure and return 0700"
except over night shift.
may be a long night for some people if they are still trapped in the rubble.

 

Me either, i would have to take it upon myself to risk it and go look for people.
a jobs a job, a house is a house, but you cant replace time lost.
For some that time may be the difference between life and death.

I was telling mom that i should be starting the swift training in a few weeks (if funds at home allow) i have to take the online test (i will start it tomorrow) , and get a dot physical, and go take the written. then things can get rolling and we got cut off..
must of been when it hit the cell towers.

Police just requested 8 body bags at 20th and Connecticut.

Just a FYI, if anyone is caught in a area with no reception and thinks there is a tornado, turn a older tv (not sure if it works on digital) to chanel 2 or 3. (static no station broadcasting on it)
If its close you will see a funnel on your screen.

how it works, i really dont know, but i've seen it work myself. it makes the static and fuzz from the chanel take the shape of a tornado.
