I drove for 9 + years back in the 1990's and let my Class A laps like a idiot when I left the Industry. Now I am getting back in and do not want to spend $4,000 for CDL Class when I already know how to drive.
I have passed my writen test and have a CDL-A Learners Permit I also took and passed the HAZMAT, Tankers, Doubles and Triples test. I am scheduled to take the road test on June 9th. My problem is I have not been behind the wheel in 15 years. IS THERE ANYONE WITH A TRUCK CLOSE TO ME THAT CAN LET ME GET SOME PRACTICE DRIVING WITH THEM SOME EITHER ON SHORT TRIPS OR AROUND THEIR NEIGHBORHOOD.

good luck, hopefully someone will be able to help you out.

Most truck schools will do "a-la-carte" instruction, if you ask. An hour driving here and there, maybe $100 an hour, to brush up. Just check around.

Thanks I will see. The closest CDL School to me in Oxford, AL is not very helpfull, they just want the jackpot $$$...

okay, you know you need practice but whats gonna happen if you do pass the test and get a job driving? Plenty of time to practice then right?
Not trying to give you a hard time but if you realize you need practice then why not go to a school and ask for a refresher? -
Just out of curiosity what will you be driving for your road test?

Tazz - They have a t/t that I can use for my testing for a fee of $250.00.
Sidepocket - The CDL School here will not offer a refresher unless I take the 3 week class for the full $4,999.00. I can have a company sponsor me and they will have me by the $!%%# for a year. I have a job already waiting for me when I get my class A.
It looks like I have someone willing to let me drive some. Anyone else willing to let me move some trailers on their yard let me know. (Free Labor)
