I have a 1994 CH 613 w/E7 350 that periodically has "electronic malfunction" light come on while enroute, there is a power loss that you can feel more when loaded . Using the cruise control set switch it will flash 3 then 5 or 35 . Light will not go away unless you turn ignition switch off then back on, then the power comes back until the next time the light comes on. The truck doesn't have jakes or switches for them. If any one can help me it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Robert:biggrin_2552:

Mr Puppy Dog pondered your q: today and suggested you clean the speed sensor and call Mack for the code ID. He thinks the sensor is telling the ECM your going too fast and derating the engine to slow you down.

your 3-5 code is for engine brake output #1 . could be that solenoid is bad or wire came off under valve cover. both very easy fixes.

Hey I'm having exact problem with my 1995 E7 427 changed the $1150 dollar part for the timing advance.. Still no fix. Pull like crazy good torque and boost then all of a sudden she looses power and boost. engine light comes on and I've gotten code 3-5. Flick key off then back on power and boost returns. Don't know what code 35 represents. It always happens just before a hill lol:) pulling my hair out trying to figure this thing out.

Follow down the driver side windshield post to under the dash. There a is a single ground bolt there that has a whole bunch of wires going to it. Clean it all.

My 2000 got that lightning bolt all the time, it pulled awesome, then not like a light switch. And it would momentarily shut off while driving down the highway, then fire right back up. Was annoying as hell and the dealer went through that truck for years and couldn't figure it out. Changed all kinds of connectors, the ECM, etc. Finally years later they found the cause and issued a service bulletin about that ground point.
