Cypress is always hiring from what they told me... I just wish they still have their CDL school. They are located off of Tallyrand, and that is a bad neighborhood.

Oh forgot to mention I saw an AD in the paper today for Landstar. I am not sure if you need experience or not.

There are companies hiring out of South Florida. Heartland out of Jax offers home 3 out of 4 weeks guarantee. As mentioned Armellini, CRST, FFE, CCC, USXpress, Conway Truckload, Celadon, Superservice to name a few

There are several companies that will hire outta Florida. Some of them will only hire north of I-10 and other will just hire you. You just need to make the call and go through the list of companies.

I would stay away from Heartland, the promise a lot but they don't deliver on what they promise. And that guarantee isn't always a guarantee. No trucking company can guarantee you anything. Believe me I was guaranteed a lot with Heartland and got a few things. So that guarantee is nothing with them. I was guarantee to get 75 for layover. But I got 25 because the DM felt that's what he should give me. I was guarantee shuttle pay but the DM told me NO because its how they do it in Heartland. You do me a favor and I'll do you a favor. I was guarantee that I will sleep comfortable in my rig. But I wasn't able to due too their rigs doesn't idle between 52-72 degrees. I was guarantee to make 57k per yr but with the mile per week their was NO way I would even make 33k... And the list goes on.

Within pass year and half or two, most companies wouldn't hire south of i4/Orlando area.As for today that may have change,I seen ads for US express in the Tampa Craigslist all the time.Cxpress also has tons of ads also.

Your good in Tampa, Geez everyone that shut me down says I-4 and above is a GO! Same as it was 8 years ago, that's why I had to go out and buy a truck. Miami is the pits and I still have a few good leads. Anyone still looking from S. Florida, i'm in the same boat as you, having sold my truck. I can help! What are you looking for?

Arnold just extended their hiring area to Miami. Melton hires from Tampa and North. Superservice is hiring team drivers and is offering a sign on bonus. My friend drives for them (refrigerated division). Benny Whitehead Inc. hires team drivers (one must have two years or more). Refrigerated Express hires teams with three or more years of experience within 50-60 miles of their Cocoa Fl terminal. Sunstate out of Tavares FL has been advertising. JCT will hire lease ops. PTL, Swift, Cypess and Knight are always hiring. Star and Squire seem to hire out of FL as well. Marten has florida regional and LinkAmerica has SE regional. Landstar hires O/O only. You only need six months to run for o/o leased to JRC Transportation.

I know a couple contractors (fleet owners) who are looking for Fed Ex CC qualified drivers or ones that can get qualified. Panther fleet owners hire out of FL as well.
