Hey Nana the Elog class is the same thing you have already on your qualcomm. the videos are there and this will help you. the class just goes over the videos basically. They may have added some stuff since I took it but really you can just look at the videos to learn.

You still have to go to the class but always remember to log off duty when you stop the truck. It will automatically put you On Duty.

You can change it if you forget by going to approve then edit. Look for the video training tab on your qualcomm to watch them. have fun!!

I know everything, and what I don't know I still have opinions on. :biggrin_2559:

I want more, I NEED more than the videos. I've watched the videos on the QC and I don't understand. *weeps with sorrow* I'm telling you I'm not easily dragged into modern technology. *sobs and waves my 11 year old cell phone* I want a big chief tablet and a big black rotary dial phone.

Dont stress Nana--them videos make it look more complicated. Its actually not that bad--we will all survive the e logs together :) And bluebonn--why you not playing them numbers? I never take a 34 hour restart--yet. Play them numbers like a lottery :)

Its the loads I have been getting. Normally I will have to drive my full 11 just to get it there on time. Just depends. Sometimes I don't run out of hours. Now all I can basically do is 10 1/2a day driving

If you max out your 11 every day, you can drive 6-1/3 shifts before you need to take a 34. Or... you can drive 8-3/4 (or so) hours every 24 hours and never run out of line 3 hours. Ever.

You can have a total hours count of on duty and driving of 8 hrs 45 min each day and never run out of hours. But, why do that if you can put in 66 hrs driving vs. 51 in the same 6 days and then take a day off?

Depends on how hard you want the road to slap ya back!

For me, it makes more sense to have availability 7 days a week - I'm not chasing miles. Even then, loosing the 30 minutes a day isn't that big a deal I'd say - you could always make it 15 too. 30 minutes at 62 mph (and you're probably averaging more like 50-ish) is only 31 miles.
