    Ok I have been waiting on Swift to do my background check for over 3 weeks now. I keep calling my recruiter every 2 days and she keeps telling me it i still being verified. I know there is nothing on my background. I seen and ad fro DMBowman and I called and talked to a recruiter and she told me to fill aout an application so I did yesterday and she called me this morning and told me she had already done my driving record and background and wants me to start orientation on the 1st of June. I will do my orientation in Maryland, Tuesday through Friday because of Mermorial day. I was wondering if anyone has had any experience with them and if so how was it. I am so ready to get out on the road and get going.

    3 weeks is a long time for a background mine took like 2 days.

    Have not heard anything negative about them. Your back ground check should take about three days. Three weeks is too long. If you bent on joining Swift, call Phoenix and speak to the processor or director of recruiting.

    I worked for Bowman for 3yrs in the bulk division in York PA. I still have a few friends that work there. There is a thread somewhere about them... lemme see if I can find it.

    You do have to keep in mind they have several divisions. Bulk, flat and van. Which are you looking to go with?

    DM Bowman is a good company keep in mind they are VERY safety oriented. Their pay is good and safety bonuses. If you don't need benefits you might want to ask them about going part time. You can work all you want and make a good bit more on the mile since you aren't getting the benefits. Just FYI.

    Ok guess who called today, yep you got it Swift. 3 days short of 4 weeks. My recruiter said my background check was through and wants me to come to Richmond VA next Wednesday for orientation. Now my dilema is, do I go with Swift or DMBowman. Tell me what you guys think.
