I had this same thing happen one time. I went out & bought a new pcv vavle(dash valve) still hear the air hissing out from valve. It was an air leak in brake chamber or air bag, cannot remember, but the sound was coming from the dash, but that was not where the leak was, the leak is not always where the sound is. not on the dash valve anyway. you may just be hearing the air being rushed thru the sys by way of valve. they sell rebuild kits for those valves too. if you do need a new valve. it is cheaper to buy a universal pcv valve than original o.e.m. just make sure you have old one in hand to match up all the hook ups. my p.v.c. was $90.00 less than o.e.m.

You know when you drop a trailer long enough for all the air to come out and then when you hook back to it and air it up, you can hear the air flowing through the valve in the dash...? That valve is the "foot valve"..

A lot of times when you have an air leak the first sign is hearing air constantly flowing through the foot valve.

A couple weeks ago I had problems with mine not wanting to seal, just like his is doing. I was trying to get some loads done, and so by pressing the brake pedal once or twice I could get it to stop leaking out the exhaust tube.
After I dropped my first load, 65' jts of pipe, I got on the four lane and as soon as I reached 60 mph both brake knobs popped out and I came to a screeching halt..:biggrin_2554: Not a very good feeling.:biggrin_25521:

I was able to get it aired up again to make it to the shop and have that valve changed.
