Hi,
I am currently in CDL school but not with Roehl but am going to be a Roehl driver and will e in Garry IN on the 23rd of July. If you look on here you will here one good thing after another about Roehl and it is why I went with them so I am sure their school is good as well. Good luck! -
I have just finished Roehl Training and I was impressed. I went from no experience in a truck to driving on the second day of training. I have no one to compare them to, but the class was excellent!
-
Can you tell me a little of what you went through at school.
-
roehl said no because i have 3 points and been arrested for misdeamenor. did they sy no just cus i new driver or they dont hire people with misdeamenors??
-
You'll be driving a truck your second day around the driving range! First day is getting paperwork done, getting drug test and start classroom training. You'll be doing "homework" when your done each day and will have written test on Thursdays. Most of the classes I saw were small(5-6) so you'll get plenty of driving time. We started with 5 and went to 4, so we were two to a truck with the instructor. I'm not sure about misdameaonors, but I know Roehl doesn't want felonies. If you talk to a recruiter, talk to Carrie, she's very nice and informative. You'll test for your CDL on the 3rd week(Thursday) and if you pass will be leaving Friday of third week.

talked to some1 they said with my misdermenor and my 3 points he just said it a combo of all maybe cus i live in florida also
-
Shortrookie, It may be the combo of both, I'm not sure. I know for sure about the felonies, maybe they want a clean driving record too. It may also depend on how recent the driving violations were too. I had a clean record on both so it wasn't an issue for me. They like a stable work history too, but I don't think that is as important. Hope you'll find someone to drive for. Maybe try another company that doesn't care as much about your past?

Thank-you Mudpuppy, for your response.I am just a little nervous, because I start with TeamRoel on the 30th of this month. I will be going to WI. for my training,Staying at either the old dutch apartments, the key apartments, star dust motel,if you went to WI. which one did you stay at.Now do you know if roehl has a good record of hiring you on after you go through, evolution 2 or to they make you sit back and wait for a while.Anything more you can tell me about your school experince would be helpful.

You made a good choice with Roehl. I finished there last November. I stayed in the Key apartments. They are pretty nice and clean. You will have about a 8-10 minute drive to the training center. I want you to know that like most students that go there you are going to at times think your instructor (s) are total #####. They will sometime yell at you when you make or are going to make a mistake. They will tell you that you will think they have a Jeckel and Hyde personality. This is just for training purposes only. DON"T take it personally. We had one guy who couldn't follow directions go off on Joe the instructor, pull into the yard and then just left. (He was almost done) He was told if he couldn't follow an instructor's directions as to which way he asked him to turn, he wouldn't have a great chance with the tester. You will remember in your career things that you were instructed on because they were drilled into your head. These things have helped me a couple of times out on the road. Big thing, study. You will find you have time after class to go back to your room and study for a couple hours. Lot of guys go out and party and then don't do well on the tests. The tests are part of graduating the course. When your out on your
testing with the state, don't hit a curb or your done. You will make some good friends to. We ended up with four guys in our class and we still keep in touch to follow each others careers. Good Luck to you, I sure you'll do fine.
